Who We Are

Denise Wilton

One of the longest serving members of Alternate Shadows Denise has enjoyed a variety of roles from being a Cherry Sister, to a singing Toffee Teddy, Victorian ladies akimbo, nervous ‘Sue’ in Abigail’s Party, Old Ma Treacle and many varied roles over the years. Denise was a line-dancing Nun, as well as many other quick change roles,  in the  1999 Fringe Festival comedy revue show Seven Deadly Sinners (plus one free). 

With a Leicester University Degree in Drama, Denise set up Theatre In Education company Face to Face which toured Kent Youth Centres with a production and workshops on Bullying in 1994. She has also been an active member of Medway Little Theatre and the Detling Players over the years as a performer, member of the Production Committee, Theatre Youth Club Leader and Director. 

Most recently Denise has performed in Murder Mysteries and competed at the Southern Counties Drama Festival at The Barn Theatre, Oxted, in The Canary Cage 2014. Denise enjoys the fact that Alternate Shadows keeps theatre live whatever the venue.
